YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Wedding Venue

The YMCA of the Rockies is situated just outside of Estes Park within the amazing Rocky Mountains next to Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) in Colorado. The YMCA property is quite large and offers many options in terms of wedding ceremony sites (including the Sara Smith Outdoor Chapel as seen in the photos), as well as numerous lodging options for wedding guests. Of course, being right next RMNP, there are great opportunities for recreation in the park– hiking, seeing wildlife, camping, and of course incredible photography. The town of Estes Park is also wonderful to have so close by for different dining options, arts, and the infamous Stanley Hotel (inspiration for Stephen King’s ‘The Shining’). And all of this is not a far drive from Denver, allowing easy access for guests living in the city or arriving by plane. In terms of wedding photography any wedding photographer would agree that the open landscape of the area offers incredible chances at capturing great moments of the wedding couple. There are lots of places to take the bride and groom for their wedding photos– in the beautiful forest, out into the open grassy fields, next to rustic barns for a very country feel, big open skies, and all with such beautiful Colorado light. There does happen to be another fantastic YMCA wedding location in Colorado located near Winter Park– you can also see wedding photos from there as well.
